The Goal
The customer requested a quick and simple quoting tool for custom garage doors that was integrated with their existing systems. The end product needed to keep track of and allow the user to manage their quotes in an easy to use interface.
The Result
Using AngularJS and Microsoft .NET Core APIs, we were able to produce a web application that would allow our customer's dealers easy access to customized pricing. Dealers can now log in and build a custom garage door on a single page by selecting a series of options tailored to their previous selections. Defaults can also be set to further reduce the options the user has to select. Once configured, the dealer then has the opportunity to view both their cost and their selling price.
Using an additional .NET Core API, the user can also submit their order to Clopay's Oracle iStore order management system, allowing end to end processing of quotes to orders from the field on a mobile device.
